Julia Wolinsky is a freelance illustrator and designer born and raised in Los Angeles. She has been drawing and painting from a young age and studied fine art at UCLA. After graduating college, she felt the pull to help others and moved to New Orleans to work in schools as an art teacher. She would eventually go back to school to get her graduate degree in Education and teach middle school reading. She is now a designer and illustrator and still looks to find ways to help others or share their story.

Her recent work centers around food and culture, with a particular interest in dishes that are not typically seen in the Western world.

She loves to surprise and engage her viewers with close compositions, bright colors and unexpected subjects. Showing the deeper meaning in food.
